Business Partner Manager

Position Summary
Responsible for working with Executive Team to develop and manage Business Partner relationships, strategic RFP’s and state adoption projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for existing Business Partners and effectively coordinate and manage the relationship and related cross-functional projects to ensure success.
  • Work with Executive Team to develop, qualify and manage new Business Partners, to include the development and oversight of Business Partner project plans to identify key milestones, co-dependencies, reporting requirements and ongoing monitoring.
  • Project Manage strategic RFP's (Response to Proposals), state adoption and partner projects to ensure timely, quality and accurate submissions.
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with partners and resellers, set appropriate expectation, and deliver on those expectations
  • Drive partner satisfaction by using project management methodology to track and drive partner requirements and solutions
  • Create systems and procedures to streamline partner management
  • Maintain and develop skills in the areas of product knowledge, industry knowledge, education funding, competitive products, technology and Learning.com systems.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities; record keeping, reporting, contract management, corresponding and communicating pertinent information
  • Maintain open communications with cross-functional team members to coordinate crossdepartmental efforts, serving as mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams related related to assigned projects.
  • Provide status updates including milestones, resources, constraints to Executive Team as required.
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
Independent contributor. Owns and manages projects and partner relationships. May manage teams and /or consultants to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of business development, marketing and/or sales experience preferably in the K12 industry
  • Knowledge of education market or computer-based training desired
  • Minimum 5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, partners, clients, and other departments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to travel

Physical Demands
Person must be able to lift 50 lbs, to include but not limited to monitors, laptops, desktops, TVs, and network hardware. Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Requires ability to travel overnight.
