Position Summary
The Team Lead / Principal Software Architect will lead and mentor an award-winning software development team and deliver hands-on software architecture and design, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to release celebration planning. Responsibilities
Work with the Director of Product Development and other business units to define and prioritize
technical aspects of the product roadmap
Define, maintain and improve software development standards
Lead application architectural design decisions
Organize, mentor and lead a team of highly motivated and talented engineers.
Proactively evaluate new technologies and advocate for their integration into our environment when
appropriate
Efficiently distribute workload to team and monitor progress towards goals
Ensure work estimates from the team are valid, accurate and achievable
Supervisory Responsibilities
Individual contributor. May provide input on personnel decisions and overall development / advancement of the team.
Requirements
BS / MS incomputer science or related field
10+ years developing software
2+ years successfully leading Agile software development teams
Excellent analytic, organization and communication skills
Deep expertise in developing maintainable, scalable and reliable high-traffic web applications using ASP.Net, C#, MVC, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX and SQL Server.
Deep expertise with Continuous Integration environments (Cruise Control.Net, NANT, MBUnit/NUnit)
Familiarity with SQL tools such as Profiler, DTA, SQLCMD and SSIS is a plus
Experience leading distributed technical teams (employees, contractors, on/off shore resources) is a plus.
